Play #13: King Henry V
April 27, 2008
And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he today that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother;
Due April 29
New favorite! More to follow.

will comment more tomorrow.
Really, this is my new favorite. I’m not sure how I missed it before. The speeches by Henry are amazing (III.i.) The back and forth between the English nobles, the English commoners, and the French. That he was able to keep the charactarizations of the past 3 plays going and still finish the cycle moving from what it means to follow a King to what it means to be one.
This was excellent. Worth slogging through the middle of the series just to get to it.
